I saw a 1/10 buggy on a Nascar commercial on the TV Guide channel. It showed a Nascar driver driving one around a track for like 2 seconds. But it was cool!
Anyone else see it? I'm going to go watch the program that the commercial was advertising right now - maybe they'll show some more RC action. :D

I just watched it. It's a 1/8 scale buggy, and it's on FX. I don't know if they're gonna show any more of it. This guy (Mayfield) has a huge dirt oval in is backyard, and they showed him driving his 1/8 buggy around it. Pretty cool!

The program is Nascar Drivers 360, and most Nascar drivers and pit crew play around with rc cars. Kevin Harvick has a segment in that show where he talks about his love for rc cars. For 2 or 3 minutes they show him with a t-maxx driving it around the car shop. I thought it was really cool.

Then there's the one with Kyle Petty, Dale Jarret, Bobby Labonte,Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart all racing rc cars in a garage beating and banging each outher with Tony taking out Dale Jarrett to win. Then Kevin Harvick's crew chief comes along in a golf cart rolls over Tony's car (crushing it) looks at Tony "sorry bout your toy car Tony".

It's really cool how fast rc is expanding. A couple of years ago nobody would even think about putting an rc car on tv.

I wish tech tv would do a show on rc cars and/or hobbies. That would do alot for the rc industry. Also, it would probably be affordable for the rc companies to advertise there.

Yeah I saw that clip, looked more like an electric 1/10 buggy to me though.
If anyone watches Windtunnel on the Speed Channel, Dave Despain (host) had one or two custom works sprint cars on his desk, or in the glass case underneath for atleast a week or two. I think he had Tony Stewart on the show and asked him some questions about the r/c cars.
There was some other show on Spike TV I think, maybe the one about the nascar and dirtbike teams where some of the guys jump (I think) a losi xxx-t off a fleet of stairs and break some parts :)

I thought it was an electric buggy at first as well, but when I watched the actual program it was a 1/8 scale nitro. Man those guys are loaded -- I wish I needed a golf-cart to transport myself around my "estate"!
On the show "Trucks" ( I think that is what its called ) on Spike TV they showed a TL01 and were working on an F-150 Lightning conversion to be put on a 4wd vehicle, he was using the TL01 as an example of a 4wd F150 Lightning.

on a recent episode of Screen savers (tech tv), they were demonstrating how to biuld your own lap counter.
There was a bit of micro rs4 racing, and some showing off of a r40 and t-maxx. but the whole desk was full of cars (a couple of super nitro rs4, more micros and stuff)

Tony Stewart likes oval racing soo much he bought Custom Works from the previous owner.
Good thing too, He might need a new career after what he pulled at Fontana last weekend! LOL :)

Reportedly Tony (the hack) Stewart has bought CustomWorks and hired some new engineers as well as Jim Dieter, head of Trinity's motor program for years. I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about it in the mags.
