Get a HPI Rush off of www.ultimatehobbies.com for $210. Cheapest thing I could find that's new. Otherwise you could go used.

I am not sure if you intend to race or if you wanted a monster truck or ST but here is a suggestion outta left field. You can always go with a Traxxas Nitro Hawk. Ive seen them in ebay for as little as 20 bucks minus engine. And around 50 with an engine. Most parts are interchangeable with Traxxas current trucks like the Rustler. And the thing is bombproof.

I have seen the duratrax Nitro Evader ST new without radio for $199. Of the duratrax vehicles, this one I have gotten the best reviews on. with that .18 motor, it screams. You also get that warranty which can be nice for a newbie on a budget.

I would also look into an RC10GT used and see if it has some RPM upgrades on it. Those things are insanely strong parts. I think they even have a no break guarentee.

Main thing is that if you buy used, you may be better off not getting one with an engine already there since who knows how it was tuned and broken in? Better to buy the chassis, and get a new engine.
