Do you guys think a mini Z is worth the money? I saw one at the track Sunday and I think there pretty cool. I am tring to get my dad to get one but I think that he really dosen't want one that bad. If I talk him into one I WILL get one but if he doesn't I'm not sure if I should. What do you think? Do you guys know any way I could talk him into one? He says he rather spend the money on his 1/10 scale cars. Also what body do you like best, mine would be the GT-3 or the S2000. See you guys later. :)

As you can see by the MiniZ forum they are pretty popular. They are a ton of fun for their size. They aren't nearly as fast a a 1/10 scale car but they can be raced indoors. I have one and I love it because it rains a lot where I live. Try to talk him into it. you won't regret it.....IMHO...

Those things are a blast. They may be smaller but they can be hopped up just like the 1/10 scale cars. Keep working him to get one. Like bluesy said, they are fun on rainy days.

I like the yellow Porsche body the best.

yes, if you get the apex turbo and the xspeed motor, and go outside where a big space, that thing flies, easily more than 20 miles

I am with HauntedMyst geta Micro RS4. You can put your own electronics and if you have a transmitter already you are set.

The Mini-Z is a rear drive only. It's a 1/24 (I think) so it would be a good inch or two smaller than the RS4 Micro in all dimensions.

I have one of these too and I like it. Just recently, my 7-year old cousin plastered it into a table leg at full speed and ruined the body. The ESC was also affected as I lost reverse, but even so, forward only is still fun to drive. If you have one, you can turn a ping-pong table into a track.

is the mini-z 4WD? cuz IT looks like the micro RS4 is cuz its got all those belts. if the mini-z is 4WD it sure doesn't show it unless its shaft driven. if they are both 4WD and the mini-z is shaft driven go with the mini-z. also, the mini-z is smaller. the micro RS4 is 1/18th scale and i've heard that the mini-z is smaller.

I just got a mini z last night and it is extremely cool. (although the hamsters weren't very excited about it) I don't like the HPI because you have to equipe the thing. Great, the ESC cost more than the car.

IMO the Mini-Z and the Micro are in 2 totally different classes. Think about the Micro: 1/18 scale- thats like half the size of a 1/10 touring car. I don't know about you but I think it might be a little cramped running it indoors. However the Mini-Z is 1/28 or about 1/3 the size of a 1/10 touring car. It depends on what you want but personally I'd take the Mini-Z since its smaller. The only thing I like about the Micro though is the fact that its a kit.

I had fun in the garage last winter with them. We wil probably be having fun with the new HPI units this winter.
