Once again, I'm lookin for gear. hehe

I can't seem to find any places that sell Ungar race station soldering irons! I just got back into RC and bought a cheap Hobbico 60w soldering iron, but it's not beefy enough for battery pack building. It chokes before the solder melts all the way.

Can anyone recommend a good soldering station/iron, under $100? Or a place that still sells Ungar Race Station soldering irons? UTC200 UTC300?

I also have that Hobbico 60w iron. I think it does just fine for my soldering needs. I used it to solder my Acer connectors and motor stuff. If you want the Ungar check
1. Hobby shop
2. Omnimodels, Tower, Stormer etc.
3. Hardware store
4. Ungar website for a list of it distibutors who carry their products in your area(if they have that on their website)(or if they have a website)
5. Yellow Pages-for a list of places in your area that may possibly carry such an item.

I am not sure if they will sell to the public. A place called Contact East has almost any thing you would want in the way of soldering equipment. We buy from them at work. Work = circuit board manf.. Try to bring home address for you monday. I use a weller soldering station at home/track. Its an older one and Ican get parts from this place.
