I had a xxxt with a Novak Dually ESC, JR steering servo, and JR standard AM receiver along with a JR python radio and everything worked fine. I didn't like the python radio and the receiver was getting extremely old so i swapped out the receiver and radio and put in a Futaba R122JE AM receiver and Futaba MS 2-channel radio. I turned everything on and went to program the ESC since i was putting a new receiver in and the directions to the ESC said push the button down until it turns a color, well it never turned that color. So i press and hold the button again and finally get it to turn that color. Then the directions told me to hold full throttle until it turned another color and it never did so i set the radio down. Without pressing anything, the truck started to go forward and i picked it up and the steering and throttle was going back and forth by itself. (The radio IS turned on and the batteries ARE charged) I shut the truck off and tried it again and it did the same thing.
Everything would stop if i held the radio in a certain spot, and would go again if i moved. Its like something was interferring with the signal (I tried going outside and it still did it)
I don't know what to do. I've used the radio with something else, so i know thats not it. The receiver is brand new out of the box, never used. Maybe the speed control went bad? I could really use some help, i appreciate any.

I would say reconfigure the Dually with that other radio and see if it works. If it does, the dually should be working fine then. I have had issues setting up certain radios with Novak speed controls since you have to setup the radio a certain way or it won't work right. Make sure you brake setting ( I am not sure what your radio has for features ) is turned up all the way or when you do the brake portion of the setup it won't recongize it.

Just try reversing the Throttle Channel. That's common with Futaba Radios. For some reason. 9 times out of 10 reversing the throttle channel on the Transmiter does the trick. Unless something is wrong with the Receiver or Crystals.

Most ESC if you make a mistake or error in setup, disconnect the battery from the esc wait 10-15 seconds, ensure you have the radio set correctly (most Futaba's when used with Novaks need the throttle set to reverse) plug battery back in and restart setup.
