How long do slicks last? and can feel a performance difference when the are worn?

The answer is it depends on the manufacturer and the compound and how you drive. Harder compounds last longer, softer not so long. No one can say how long they will last for you.
Can you tell a difference when their worn? Yeah, I personally think they are better when they have a few runs on them but some people like them brand new the best.

Theres a serious difference in performance, my schumacher slicks gripped like crazy out of the package and when they were worn down I could put the car into slides and spins. But if you ask me, I think they are more fun when they are worn...

Hmmm tough question. Some last only 3 runs. Some last dozens. Not only does compound matter, but also road surface/texture as well as driving style. As far as performance, yes you should beable to tell the difference when they are worn. Hopes this helps some. :p
