for those of you that read my previous thread on my radioshack eradicator on our recently deceased off-topic forums.... i'm still posting the result!!
and those of you that don't know what i'm talking about, here is the still-viewable thread; http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169243
i WILL be posting pictures here of the result of the chassis fab. on friday, that's when our camera will be in my hands again, right now it's at my dad's work and I can't drive 15 miles to get it...lol
I look forward to seeing what you guys think and for more tips on what to do next, right now it's only 2wd, and will pop a wheelie eaisily with a little reward motion and a snap of the trigger...
i think it will work better if i take apart the rear section and inspect the gears, cause they are NOISY!! the thing makes tons of noise and it sounds like the gears, or possibly a worn out motor... :(
thanx for looking, more to come on friday....
curse the people that made the offtopic dissapear!!  :p
edit ; and i don't mean the mods or admin....i mean the people that were stupid and neglected this great forum...

Hey, just read that thread and have to wish you luck. But dont spend money on a $40 racing motor, your best off getting, as mentioned earlier, the magnetic meyhem for $20. Can wait to see those results :)

OK, i'm very sorry for all the delays, here are the pics of the truck as it sits in my room now... I may do more too it but right now, it runs and is only 2wd...
It needs somthing to hold the battery and electronics, as you can see there is nothing to do that but tape and the wires the stuff is connected to the motor and servo with... the battery has to be taped on...(pain in the but!! )

here's another, and there are more to come!! :D
ground view...gives an idea of how much clearance it has... it's possible that i could trim away the center but it would make it weaker, and now that the tires are so close together it dosen't really need any more clearance...

here is a closer pic of the bolts and chassis plates...the plates are plexiglass...and i was too lazy to strip the paper off them, as they are old and the stuff is stuck there really well...i'd have to use water and scrape it off...so i just left the paper coating on....

here is the ground view from the front.... that's all the pics for now...
i have a couple more from the top and close ups of the bottom if anybody wants closer pics or different ones, just let me know and i'll see what i can do!!
lemmie know what you think!!! :D :D and thank you for taking the time to check out my little contraption....i think i'll go look for a body that fits now..... :D

ok, found a body, here's some pics...but sadly, it wont be able to fit without electronics modifications...i might be able to cut the motor wires and lengthen them to give me more ability to move the setup, as that's why it's at a funny angle...i can't move it any farther or the wires will rip off...
I found this body on a cheap car that turned in reverse i was getting rid of...i found a good use for it though!

you might want to paint those plexie glass sides so they look better and you might want to look int oil shocks
Figit090
06-21-2004, 09:33 PM
for the sides they will dissapear if i clean off the paper coating...which is actually supposed to be removed....
and oil shocks....would be to expensive for my budjet, i wanted this to be basically a free thing...
but, i do have t-maxx shocks, and i'm buying new ones for my maxx, for if i fabricate new shock towers that will work!! i think.....

I looked at the previous forum, my friend has that truck and i thought it was very cool for a toy car. Ur project is looking very good, i like the ghetto side chassis plates :D
oh ya, ditch the hot rod body, maybe a tlt-1 body could fit...or find a better toy car body ;) ( i dislike hot rods)

and what was up with that suggestion to blow it up??

I say mount the Hotrod shell, would look pretty cool.
umm Figit....he meant like strap a rocket to it and blow it up..literally
he was inquiring that blowing little toy cars up is fun.
and I say leave the hotrod off, i too dislike hotrods.

well i don't have much else, and i think it looks pretty neat for just throwin' it together....i would mount a truck of some sort, but i don't have any and i'm not going to go out and buy one... actually, i do have one little truck that might work, but it will most likely look stupid...this looks better i bet...i might check it out.
