I'm lookin for a battery pack, for racing in a TCS(Tamiya)this summer. What would be a suitable battery rating (mah)?

2000s or 2400s are great for TC racing. I'd stay away from the 3000s, unless you're running Mod. Motors (they have less punch). Depending on how much you want to spend. 2000 packs will work great. If you’re not going to get matched packs then stick with the 2000s. If you’re going to get matched packs, then spend the few extra bucks to get the 2400s. The 2400s will give you more punch and longer run times, but if you’re not spending the money on matched cells then the performance isn’t totally there from the beginning. To be competitive with levels above novice, I’d recommend getting a nice set of 2400 matched packs, one for each of your runs that count (two qualifying and main = 3 packs). This is a good chunk of change, but batteries are one of the keys – they make a HUGE difference. Then only use those packs for racing, keeps the life in them longer. You can pick up some cheap 1500 packs for like $14 and practice on those, and save your best packs for the races. Also, depending on the charger you have the performance of the batteries will be effected.
