the other day i was driving my Pajero and i fell while walking over to my truck and my arm landed on a huge thorn, and my cut started bleeding badly and i was a 10 minute bicycle ride away from home with no band aids or n e thing.

that got me thinking and well i decided to mount a First Aid kit onto my Pajero. I looked for a tiny tiny box that would be convenient yet big enough to hold essentials, I finally found a small box and loaded it with 7 bandaids, 14 Q-Tips, a miniature pair of tweasers and a pick, and a tiny bottle of rubbing alchohol.

all together the box full only weighed about 3/4th an ounce

and right now im on my way to go mount it.

lol, well i just mounted it to my chassis, bolted it down snug and tight using two screws, AND the resistor to the MSC is right under it, so them bandaids will be nice and warm when or if i put them on, hehehe :D

HAHA! That's pretty cool, but now that you have it you'll probably never use it.

You **could** always just learn to walk without falling down, that would work too. :D

(I know what happened, you were watching the RC and walking, and I'll tell you "I have never done that" nope not me nuh-uh. :D )

Could always just take a bottle of superglue ;)
That way you can fix small cuts AND reglue your tires :D

Now my son can finally realize why I tell him to stand in one place why he is driving his T-Maxx........ (Although, I tell him not to so he doesn't trip/fall and break the TX)........

lol, the reson i was walking over to my truck is because it got stuck on a large rock that was to big for it to drive over, so i started to run over to it, didnt see the table leg sticking out, and whoosh right over i went.

and also, i take this truck to my friend's ranch ALOT, and i usually take it back into their woody area which is prolly 400 acres large, i usually go to the middle area, but its like a 20 minute walk back to the house from there, and there are all kinds of nasty crap.

i know once a copperhead snake crossed my path as i was walking down the dirt road. And that that there are countless thorn bushes there as well...lol...and the thorns there are like 3 inches long to, but at the same time its peaceful and there are like 1,000,000,000,000,000 places to take my Pajero offroading.

but i dont think I'll run into table legs out in the woods

i think your idea is great!
it's sad to hear you cut your arm but it's wonderful you thought to be prepared should another accident happen.
it's clear you gain much enjoyment from your r/c and i find your story inspiring. your enthusiasm is great for us older guys to see.
thanks for the smile. :)

i just drove my truck with this FA kit for the 2nd time. When i stopped the truck i smelled melting plastic, (i know what it smells like to)((when i was younger i used to burn toys cars i hated lol)) I ran inside pulled the body off, opened the FA kit pulled everything out and sure enough the bottom of the case had melted, not severaly, i mean the case is re-useable, but the bottom of the case started to from to the top of the resistor, i didnt know resistors to MSCs got that hot. If only i had $40.00 i could buy the Mtroniks waterproof ESC, then i wouldnt have to worry about a resistor.

lol...maybe you could just carry one of those old, (metal), millitary first aid kits, it wouldent melt!!

is there another place you could mount it where the heat isn't as great? on the underside of the body maybe?

it sounds like that part gets pretty hot if it melted the plastic. heat + rubbing alcohol = bad news. best to make sure it stays cool so you don't find yourself needing to add a fire extinguisher to your truck.

play safe, have fun. :)

yea, i know, i hate MSCs, a hazard to the entire truck, only thing i like about them is that they can handle water. thats the next thing for this truck is a water proof ESC.

Ok, this might be a really dumb question, but...

Why not put the first aid kit in your pocket?
Why not put the first aid kit in your toolbox? (assuming you have one)

It just seems like extra unneeded weight, plus if you fall over something and get hurt, chances are that you are not standing right next to your car.

Good idea though :)

he could drive it back to him using his tx

well no, im usually not by my car. Well for one thing im 14 and cant drive so i dont have a car, i usually bicycle ride everywhere or walk. Cept to the track, and yes i do have a toolbax, just not one that rolls around.

plus when im out at my friend's ranch deep in their woods, its just me, my controller, my pajero, and my camera, nothing else, so having this kit on my truck is neccessary for my needs, plus lol what extra weight? the thing is light as a feather.
