While browsing the internet I found these awesome titanium screws (<a href="http://www.tiscruz.com">TiScruz</a>) made by lunsford. Dang they look and sound great; I can't help but want them. Have any of you heard about them? Have you heard anything bad, except that they're DAMNed expensive? I think I'm gonna have to buy some unless any of you can tell me some good reason not to. OK? Please comment with anything you've heard and/or experienced with them.

Yes, they're nifty, and will save a bit of weight, but I have a really, really, really hard time justifying $90 on a set of screws. If you happen to round a head off (it would be pretty hard with titanium screws) a replacement screw would be about $2 and hard to get. Instead of going the titanium route I bought stainless screws for my car from McMaster-Carr; I paid $4 for each box of 100 screws, and I paid $26 total (6 sizes needed at $4 a box) to do my GT and have enough spares to outfit quite a few more GTs. They look nice, especially if you polish them =) Sure, they're heavier than titanium, but they're a ton cheaper, and still look very nice. Although, if I really wanted to drop $90 on a set of screws, I would probably get the titanium ones...

There was a tiny error in my post that managed to hide most of the words (a missing " in the html code), so you might've missed the real question(s). Any opinions? I wanna hear 'em. Thanks for the quick reply, Gokou.

I too have checked them out and i was interested, right up until i found they were 83.50$ for my buggy kit, and not even replacing all the screws in the kit, I am probably just gonna get a Trinity one, Unless...........Steve gets me a set, then i will do a write up.........

I have also looked into them before. I have a GT and think the best is a combo of Ti for high stress areas like engine and shock mounts and Al for other places.

I wouldn't buy those screws for $90. Gokou what is McMaster-Carr's website address?

It's www.mcmaster-carr.com (http://www.mcmaster-carr.com) =) They're a huge supply house. Usually if I order before 3pm I have the stuff at my door the next day. (Their west coast warehouse is down by LA, I'm up in Northern CA) They're fast, considering how large they are.

Search for allen screw then it'll give you a list of types (button head, flat head, socket head) then choose the material you want and it'll show you a list of all the sizes they carry. You can also get self-locking, but don't get those unless you are threading into metal. If you thread them into plastic you risk screwing up the plastic part. I bought all 18-8 stainless hardware.
