What kind of tires come with a Losi XXXT? Are they good for racing on hard-packed dirt? I just want to know if I should budget for new tires when I get my truck. I plan on getting some Holeshots and Bow ties; any other suggestions?

they are meant for blue groove racing. they have very short treads.

i had to replace them imeadatly, because i was racing at a very loose track.

but the stock tires work great on smooth hard packed stuff.

They come with wide silver 4 rib out front, and red taper pins out back, the tires in back are realllllly sticky, the front are not as much though, I have M3 Holeshots, and M3 Square Fuzzies, and others, those 2 are used most though, I have pro line M3 tires for the front too(radius rib). they have great rear traction out of the box, but i have found it pushes, so i went with orange springs in front, and the above tires, GREAT now!!!

both of them are geared more towards the "blue groove" track. both setup wise, and the whole car. but they are both VERY stable and thus work great on rough stuff. i know, i have tried both. LOSI RULES!!!!

It just depends on what kind of track you will be running on. The orig. tires that came in my kit with my XXXT are great for dusty hard tracks. But some times they water the track a bit so i bought some Pro-Line Step Pins for out back. Just do what i did get the pro-line step pins and the pro-line blades up front and you should not have a problem. But other then that the tires that come with the kit are great!

Actually, I'm in novice again because I took about a 4 year break from racing. My name is Brian, the only guy in a wheelchair. Yep, that's me. So how old are ya Steve? I'm not sure which guy you are. See ya Saturday.

I'll be getting my XXXT in January or Ferbuary, then I'll be movin' up to stock as soon as I'm used to the new truck. You gonna race stock truck IF you get a XXXT?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, NOW i get it, Nairb, Brian, Coool! You remember me! I busted my car in 2 a few weeks ago, you know, teh red headed step child, LOL, you race the RC10T, adn your....neighbor races the T2? Yes, I will race stock, I think i might race it next time I go, probably saturday, I am gonna race my good ol' Rustler in the MT class, adn if they have it in Novice again, then i may have to race stock! I need to get some more 2400's for when i bump up, oh well. The Bow Ties, on our track, they would PUSH, a ton! but, they are good for the Back Yard, or at Vision Hobby, but even then, the Losi step pins are the way to go there.

I was just thinkin' before I checked the forum that you're probably the guy with the Rustler with Dirt Hawgs on the front. I guess I was right. Yeah, I remember you just got your 3rd novice win a couple weeks ago. I'll be following ya up to stock in a bit. Now won't that be interesting? I wonder how we'll do against the regulars.

DANG, I can't wait until I get my new truck!! Aaahhhh, the torture of waiting!!
