LOL....Thanx for the info, this truck is like 10 times better then i thouhgt it would be. I just need a new reciver. I took one of my friends reciver and had some fun on the first run. All i gotta say is WOW. What kind of pinion gear should i use. It has an 88 spur, and a 2.43:1 gear ratio. Im gonna have to make some charts up.
Thanx

I would start off with an 18 tooth pinion, for a more tighter track, i might even try a 17, go with 17 first, adn if top speed lacks in the straights, go for a 18, and still not good, go with a 19, i would not go higher than that, smoke your motor, ESC, adn burn up batts, BTW, what motor did you get???????????

I have a Cam Super Modified 12x3. It says on the sticker it won the 90-91 IFMAR championship. Its a good motor and has not let me down im my other truck. I just bought a stock P2K, and a modified D4 11x3 by Trinity. Im going to run it with a 17 tooth.
my setup:
Novak Tempest Hyper Fet 2 Pro
1500 batt.
12x3 mod.
Hitec Reciver
Futuba Sport Pistol Grip
Futuba servo
Orig. tires
Pro-line Step Pin rear
Pro-line Blade front
And tons of hopups that would take to long to list.
Thanx for the help

What pinion is good for a XXXT with a stock motor? I just bought some nice 19 and 20 tooth pinions; do I need a 17 tooth for stock racing?

If its an 24 degr. stock, go with the 20. I was just browsing around and it said use a 20. Hope i helped.

You should look into getting some better batts, Nothing like making a modified really move with a good matched pack!
