I know that everyone has wrecked or done something pertaining to R/C that they would rather forget and or wished had never happened......So what have you done?

I was 15 years old racing my Fox against my friends Turbo Hopper in the street. After a high speed past I was turning the car around and as soon as the car was facing back in my direction it just went ballistic. I had lost control of the throttle and steering. The plastic guy had complete control at this point. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif The car was screaming directly at me full speed, http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/eek.gif so I quickly jumped onto the curb before it used me as a speed bump. As it flew past me I looked ahead of it to see what was going to "stop" it. In direct line was a street gutter. Sure enough the stupid little plastic guy in the car drove it right into the gutter. My friends thought that was the funniest thing they had ever seen. I did get the gutter plate off with a HUGE Allen wrench and found the car on its' back and I think the plastic guy was laughing at me too. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I recently finished a T3 I've been working on since Christmas. 2 speed tranny. Road Hawgs. titanium t-buckles. 16-3 motor. Too much to list. I was taking the car out for its second run up and down the street and it was fast (the operative word being WAS). I hit the edge of my neighbors concrete driveway which has about a 3/4 inch lip and the car stopped dead. I'd guess it was doing around 35. Anyways I bent one of the t-buckles, busted the a-arms, the servo, stipped the screws holding the chassis together... Waaaah!
Thats the least amount of time its taken to total a car. Atleast I have a few others to run while I'm saving for parts http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well heres mine in 93 is was at the IEDA Nationals, at this time i was racing Econo Dragster. In this class we found by spraying CRC brake clean in the brush hoods on the starting line would pick up a ton of et. Well in the semi's i ran out of CRC so my friend bill ran to a local auto parts store and brought back another brand, i didnt pay it any attention and grabed the can and headed to the line. Well the can he gave me was the Flamable type, and as the tree came down i hit the gas and my car went up like a roman candle all the way down the track. Next thing i know the track crew it stomping on my car at the top end to put out the grass fire i started, and best yet i won the round. What surprised me was with all the people looking on no one took a picture. PS that car is still around my friend bill has it singed sergvo and all. LOL

well this wasnt with a "hobby class" car but it sure was fun. Me and my big bro (he is 19) were sitting around one day burning models with his lighter, then i got the crazy idea to light my newbright dodge big red truck on fire and run it out my garages 2nd storie window ,so he doused it with lighter
fluid we made a little ramp that lead to the outside of the window lit it on fire and let er rip the funny thing was it was STILL on fire when it hit the bottom we r talkin major black smoke so we rush down there lol to find some old lady beating it with her walker tryin to put it out!!lol i was laughin my ars off while the old ladie was yellin at my big bro tryin to teach him some responsibilty and tryin to put it out at the same time!!! and she said if we didnt clean it up she would call the cops on us so we got out a hammer and a shovel and started chipping it off the sidewalk. i took a pic of it right before we threw it away if i can find it ill scan it and post it up but i would have to say that is the worst crash one of my babies has taken. lol http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Back in the day when i had an MRC Ironman (my first hobby quality R/C...lol)

I was drivin it around in the street not paying any attention to the car that was coming, the car honked at me then i tryed to save my truck by getting it as far away from the car as i could.....then bam, it smacked the curb fliped 4 to 5 times with pieces of the body flyin off along with the left tire and a-arm.

I didn't run the truck in the street of along time. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
