I need some help spending my cash! My old Nitro Rustler has had it. Here are the choices: Monster Pirate, Factory T3,Traxxas Stampede
I love the Monster Pirate. I plan on putting an Airtronics M8 radio in it, but I need help deciding on the engine and servos. I want an engine that will give it POWER and will last a long time. I intend to use this truck for "play" around my backyard. I don't want to spend more than $200 for an engine. If anyone knows of a better radio that is good for "play", please let me know!
I have only had one electric car and that was a Tamiya Fighter Buggy RX so I don't know too much about electric and for some reason I want an electric car. I like stadium trucks. I like the Fatory T3 http://www.towerhobbies.com/listings/listelec.html and I would like a good speed control. I like the idea of a reverse speed control like the Novak Rooster Rev. that has a 15+ motor limit. I don't really know if this is a good speed control. Should I go all out with the truck and put in a Cyclone Updated? I would also like this car with the M8. I couldn't find any Losi cars in my Speedmart. Did Tower quit carrying Losi cars? I liked the xxx-t. I also like the JR XR2 because it is a lot cheaper than the M8. I like the Midnight 2 motor. I'm not sure about what modifieds to choose from. I would perfer a battery that I can recharge several times in one day and would last for a few minutes. Can I use the normal stick type packs on this car? I am new to this type of an electric car and I was wondering what tools are necessary for me to have? How do I brake in my motor? Is this a good car setup?
I like Traxxas cars, but I always end up breakiing the driveshafts and I always break them on the left side (pipe side). I replaced the diff gears and set my sliper clutch very loose. I haven't broken one for 7 months and I drive it a couple times a week. I finally broke a driveshaft and it was on the same side! Would you believe I still have the same driveshaft on my right side that came with it! I don't race oval with it and I am careful to do donuts in varied directions! I'll never know why. Is the Stampede proned to driveshaft problems? Is it a good truck?
I would love to start racing, so the T3 would be good. Does anyone know of any R/C tracks in or around Mansfield PA or Corning NY? I live inbetween these two areas. If I got the Pirate, could I race it on the track with the stadium trucks? All I can say with this is CRUNCH http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif Thanks for the help guys.
