yesterday I hollowed out my stinger, and hollowed out the alumium couple, then I sealed the pipes joints with epoxy. I tightended the slipper, checked all the screws. I went out for a run. It ran fine for a while, then erererere, it wasn't moving. I shut it off, the spur was melted. The slipper was embeded in the spur. Today I went and bought some stuff(a spur). Installed everthing, and went through my normal preceedure. Ran fine then eeeeeeerrrrr, not moving. Well it took a chunk of plastic out the size of a quarter. urrrrrrr. Is this just because it's cold. Or is it the pipe.

The cold could definitely be a factor, but I'd start with loosening the slipper a bit. It needs to slip enough to take the shock of driving and jumping off the transmission components.

why ya think it's getting so hot. I'd think if ya loosened it it would slip more=more friction=hotter. I don't know anything sounds good right now. I'll try it and see what happens.
