os .21 flywheel

hi! just received my very first nitro engine, an o.s. .21 rg-m.. one question though, how do you fit the flywheel? mine keeps spinning freely.. i don't have the cable collet yet.. is the cable collet the one that tightn the engine?

yes it needs a colet to atach the flywheel when the flywheel IS on though you can remove the colet freely without the wheel coming of and if you want the flywheel of the you have to use a tool or get creative.

I clamp the fly wheel in my vise with wood pads between the wheel and vise the n i use a Hex wrench and a hamer to hit the crankshaft. Make surre the engine could fal out when it wants to.

hi! not really, i'm still waiting for the drive collet to arrive.. i press fit it, it does hold on a little but once i turned the crankshaft, it will loosen up.. guess i have to wait for the other parts to come.. thanks!! i might need more help once i get started.
