Ok, I know the TC3 has more hop ups and is proven on the race track. And the T-Spec is to new to tell yet. But I have a tight budget and ALL I want to do is mostly bashing, put on a killer body, wheels and enter maybe 5 races a year in the NOVICE or STOCK class.

I know that I can find different bodies are wheels for the TC3 but would I be able to find them for the T-Spec?

As far as racing I found tracks that run novice and stock. Winning isn’t that important but finishing in the top 5 is. Which car would put me there without putting holes in my pockets?

I would go with the TC3 if you can afford it. The T-Spec is a nice car and i'm sure it will perform well but the TC3 will benefit you more in the long run. Although you may not be thinking too much about hop ups now, when you do have the money and decide to hop itup you know you'll be able to. Also i bet your LHS is going to stock more parts for the TC3 than the T-spec so when you do break you'll be able to get running alot quicker. Good luck.

TC3 would get my vote since its stocked almost everywhere. I would get the BRP protection stuff however.

yes any 190mm body should work. :)

I would also give the nod to the TC3 Racer over the T-Spec. If you want to race at all, the relatively little extra the TC3 costs is worth spending.

Thanks for the replies. I 95% sure I am going with the TC3 racer with a PK2 and the new Novak XRS. I went to my lhs and it seems that people are to sure how the TSpec will hold up or about different wheels or bodies would fit.

New ? about batteries for the TC3. The track that I would race at has 4 min heats and 5 min mains. What would be a good mid price assembled pack.

I would check out the SMC packs on Stormer or Tower the Matched Stick Packs are around 39.99 to 44.95 while the unmatched stick packs are 29.99 to 38.00. Check out Pro Match prices - they are running web specials all the time, Integy may be another good battery available direct or through Stormer Hobbies. You can also find them through other sources at varing prices.
