Hey, my Tamiya style connectors melted together. I broke them free and i want to upgrade to Power Pole connectors. Do I have to solder them on or do I just have to crimp them like the Tamiya connectors?

You have to solder the wire into the end. If you crimp it it won't fit into the plastic piece.
Don't get motor spray on them, they'll crumble.

i crimp em... works fine.. just crimp em so they still fit in (tight fit is ok) then push them into place in the plastic with a little screwdriver...

I would solder them just to be safe. I soldered mine on and haven't had a problem with them yet. I have the ones by Acer www.acerracing.com (http://www.acerracing.com) You might as well do it right the first time so that you wont have to go back and do work on them if something happens. When you solder them it would make a safer strong connection.

true, but i am doing just fine with them crimped... :-)....

if u have the patience (i don't cus i always make the solder too big to fit in the plastic) then do it,....
