Very nice! That checkerboard looks extremely irritating to do. Did you have to mask all those individual squares, or was it a precut pattern? What car is that btw?

mep - fade just by aiming the can and use the overspray to your advantage.

I Wish it was pre cut, it was individual masking for each and every square, looks amazing on the track though :)

HKS- It looks green in the pic. How do you "back" a color?
Raymo24- how'd you do the flames?
rieley- not telling, eh? lol I look forward to the next one.

HKS

you "back" a color by first spraying a coat of the main color you want, in this case flo. yellow, and then spraying a couple coats of the under color-silver.

mep -
I'm old school and still use masking tape (or vinyl masking) instead of liquid mask.
I drew those flames out on paper, transferred them to tape and cut them out. You need to reverse them for the second side if you want the sides to match - which of course really is not necessary because it's supposed to be fire! :D

But everyone makes the sides match on their car, it does look better!

"that's new" indicating that your car's body is of a new style than other bodies in this thread.
What body is that? In your pic.

yes those are spinners. ive seen a guy who changes the color of the metal, but i forgot what the process is called. And the rock is from the kingdome that was in seattle, they blew it up to put seahawks stadium there. I jumped a fence at night and grabbed one.

mep
06-19-2004, 09:00 PM
lol good job. You sure you don't remember the process? Anything about it? btw where exactly do you get spinners? I had no idea they existed. Are there any that fit on 2.2 in. truck wheels?

2.2 in wheels are pretty popular. It seems to be the natural progression...

Does that bod really plant your truck? Doesn't look like it would.

hey radicarz- those bodies are sweet!!! :D :D Very "old school" yet sweet-lookin. I like! In case you couldn't tell.

Does that bod really plant your truck? Doesn't look like it would.

It probably doesn't provide that much more downforce than a regular truck body does. I just like to joke around with people about it. :)
