Gday Steve,
Everything ok here, thanks.:) I hope your well.
Most of Australia & NZ copt a real flogging this summer. I really hope the Allmighty can give us all a break for a bit. Not to complain, but fair enough.
Boats, do you mean my r/c tunnel boats? Hell yes. Have a look at rcgroups in the fast electric boat section. I'm 10x8.
Funny, can't sell landmax parts here in Aus. Nobody knows what it is, they all want the latest, most flash thing and want it yesterday. Like I said, I'm happy to give you parts if you like. Just the post hassle, unless you have relo's that travel here?
I hate hearing a fan has got a LM and missing or wanting a part, then find it on ebay for 8 grand, lol.
Take care
Regards
Pete

Hi men,
Hope all is well with the LM's,
I've picked up a dual rear muffler for my LM but unsure of how to build it up and fit it. It's NIP but I can't find any manual/instructions on the assembly side of things, only thing I found was 1 picture of one fitted but not much use. If anyone knows where I can get fitting info or has fitted one themselves I'd love to know.
Also found a company that's started to make Group B rally bodies to fit the LM and I've ordered one up. More details on new thread under New Landmax Bodies. It's very exciting.
Also managed to pick up a bargain on eBay LM 2 used but good condition for £40. The toolbox is out in anticipation of my new arrivals.
As always I look forward to your replies,
Many thanks,
Martyn

Hi Martyn,
Twin Muffler set No.GT02?
Mate, your taking me back here and I'm running off memory, but I'll give it a shot.
Assuming running with the GS21 mil, I recall changing the 45 degree header to an O.S. straight through with the same bolt pattern. Not sure if that came with the kit? Then ran an inch of silicone tubing to the aluminum pipe that came with the kit. There is a hole on the rear of the LM shock stay for the pipe to go through. Then another inch of silicone to the muffler. I think there was a black plastic ring that fit in first to the muffler.
Inside, there are 2 orange baffles and a rod with 2 locknuts. The baffles fit in a groove in the outer inside edges and the rod is inserted through them and locked on to the muffler on the outside. I think I did one side then the other and tightened it up. Then the muffler is bolted onto the LM. The twin mufflers have a direction fit too to lock in if I recall.
It works with the pullstart and the 2 speed and looks friggen fantastic with twin smoke exiting. But, it is fairly fragile and I have shattered one in a crash.:teacher:
I don't think mine came with instructions either. I've posted some pics in the hope you will understand my early morning rumblings:D. Hope I've helped and good luck with your LM.:)

Thanks hooppjs,
That has helped a great deal, I can't wait to get it all fitted and have some summer fun. I'd only really bought it so I didn't have to cut a hole in my bodyshell for a side exhaust, I picked up some stealth mounts too so there will be no body posts coming through the shell either.
Just getting started on my exciting new shell (see bodies, painting & detailing forum - under New Landmax Bodies)
It should be looking real sweet soon, I'll throw up a few pics once it's all completed.
Thanks again
Martyn

Hey guys,
Just thought i`d pop a quick post here. I stumbled accross this thread while doing some research on the Landmaxs`. I have just bought a NIB LM2 206 wrc. Build is done and running in should be this weekend. Hoping someone could suggest some ideas as to how to change the hub size to maybe run different wheels? Lm wheels are so hard to find now.
Also thought this may be of interest to some of you. I have my order ready for them lol

Well look at that!! Thats the body i was on about! Looks awesome!! I have been in contact with the guy who makes these. The new 205 T16 shell is looking pretty good too.
I too have the 206 WRC, although i left the body untouched in the box. I bought the Evo 4 shell but i have done the Rallyart livery on mine. Love the car, and it really has restored my faith in Nitros after the last two cars seemed to be so tricky to get the engine set right. Parts are a little thin on the ground, as are hop-ups. Does anyone know if the BSW 72 shocks come as a set or a pair?

thanks!
i have regular contact with the guy that makes these bodies.i took a look from the new peugeot body but i dont like it..it seems out of scale..because the original 205 T16 is a shorter car compare to the s1(when we speak for the fullscale cars),that means that the lexan body is made bigger just to fit to landmax chassis..thats why i dont like the new t16 body,it just look longer than the original..

yeah...
i am still undecided on it. What is the Audi body like. It does look like really good quality. Are the stickers good too?
I am hopefully looking to order mine in the next few days from Peter. :)

Not sure about you guys, but i have been finding it really hard to find somewhere near where i live that will unleash the potential these cars have. After searching through Google maps over my town where i live, i stumbled across a great place. Up till now, me and a friend have always just used any big fields for our cars, but i always wanted to find a nice open space, possibly with gravel to run it. Boy have i found a good spot! Not only is it really fine gravel which allows the car to kick up awesome `rooster tails` but i also have little bushes dotted around which make great corner markers! I have had a ball, so i`ve attached a pic! Im going through fuel like you wouldn`t believe! lol :D (hope the pics work!!)

Shame the shells are so expensive. I'll keep an eye out too. I reckon one of the best parts of building the LM was painting the body shells.:)
I have (all painted), Evo shell, GTR, Toyota Corolla, and 2 Subura WRX. I only have 2 running LM's now, rest in parts for spares etc. I'll be running these cars till I die, lol.

haha, likewise Pete. I have had so many Rc cars over the years and i always seem to get bored with them. I promised my girlfriend that i would refrain from buying any more and said this would be my last. I am glad i have eventually ended up with one. Its really restored my faith in Nitro Rc after a nightmare with my last one trying to get a good tune out of the engine. This one has been a piece of cake!
I dont tend to worry too much about buying chassis/spares as the Lm1 looks quite different to the Lm2, but whenever there have been wheel and tyre sets i have snapped them up!!

A quick question.... anyone know whether the DRX bodies will fit these cars? Kyosho make the Mitsy evo 7 and Stratos shells for these cars and i cant believe that they would make a new tooling and mold for the Drx chassis when they made these bodies for the LM. My doubt is that all the info i find on the DRX states it has a 316mm ish wheelbase... any ideas...?

well it does fit indeed. I had seen in a french web site guys using the drx shell on landmax. and also the tires are the same.

I might be tempted by the stratos shell....

So, after weeks of collecting other parts including Original Kyosho shells, i decided to order one of these Audi S1 shells from Rallyclassics.se
They look good in the pictures previously posted on here, but you really got to see it in the flesh. Its a good 5-6 cms longer than my Evo 4 shell which in itself is pretty big! The quality of this guy`s work is amazing, especially as he pretty much makes these in his garage in his spare time. The instructions are clear concise and very well put together while the decals are a perfect fit, certainly better than the poor fitting ones on the Kyosho evo 4 shell i have.
The delivery took just 3 days to the Uk. I think what helps is he is really a big Lm fan and wants to get the product right. You really get that sense talking to him. Top Guy!
If you haven`t ordered one yet, then maybe these pictures will make you!
BY THE WAY, THE NEW 205 T16 SHELL IS READY..... THIS IS ALSO A LOOKER!

Hey guys. I'm new here and the name is Chris. Here is my Landmax 2.
It has an Orion Wasp .28 and the Kyosho 2 speed tranny.
To those with the 2 speed...do you get an audible "shift?" I could never figure out if I set it up right as it never shifts. It runs like it is working though, as it explodes off the line and has a nice top end.
The Lancia Stratos body is painted after the car in the anime exDriver if you're curious.

HI Chris,
Nice LM! Love the Stratos. You cant beat the old school rally classics! Shame these great shells are so hard to come by. The added issue with the Stratos is you really need the wheels to finish it off!
