I've been a Tower customer for over ten years.

During the holidays it seems as if they inflate their prices slightly, to cash in on the holiday buying rush. A lot of places do this BTW.

Tower is always happy to honor anybody elses coupons, offers, etc., so if you see it at alower price, or free shipping, they will do the same.

The reason I stick with Tower is because in all this time (over 100 orders) they have screwed up ZERO times. And their customer service people are second to none. They actually seem to enjoy their jobs.

Every other place I have tried has botched something on EVERY SINGLE order, and their customer service is pathetic to say the least. They act as if you are bugging them by calling.

These other places always seem to have the best prices, but then NEVER have those hot items in stock. They drop their prices and then back-order 90 percent of the orders, or pull the bait and switch and try to sell you something else that they make more of a profit margin on. HobbyPeople is renowned for this stuff.

If you don't want to buy from Tower then don't. But knock it off with the subject titles calling a place a rip-off. That's slander and lible.

HPI - I couldn't agree with you more. If you wan't feedback on pricing, then you should post a thread that has a title resembling, "Need feedback on pricing" or even something as suggestive as "Are Tower's prices too high?" A thread title including the words "rip-off" is not responsible when the only thing they could possibly be guilty of is a higher price. Please choose you words more carefully. Save the words "rip-off" for the genuine article.

Why has tower hobbies gotten so expensive? For instance, some RAM headlights are in the tower 2000 catalog for $9.99. Online they are $14. Same goes with other things, e-maxx $340, hobby people, $320. It used to be that the stuff in the catalog was more expensive than online. Weird.
