I'm thinking of getting back into rc after many years, and would like to get a nitro truck just to play around with on all types of surfaces, dirt, soft dirt, grass, etc. I don't think I want a monster truck due to rolling over plus I just like the look of the stadium trucks better. I would like a 2WD due to less breakage and ease of use. I'm not going to race just bash so I want something tough.
Rustler?????
GT 10???????
Rush????????

GT-Fastest, probably most durable. The FTGT has loads of race potential.
Rustler-Strictly a basher, with a 30MPH top speed. Dont know much else.
Rush- Good all around car, more hop-ups than the GT RTR, but nothing like the FTGT's.

Verdict-GT, and a majority (I hope) will agree.

id say Nitro stampede. even though you dont want an MT because you think it flips alot, but the Npede has suprising handling and ive only managed to flip it twice and that was because i was doing 35 in a bumpy dirt field.
also if you really want the look of a stadium truck, you can get smaller shocks and a stadium truck body and get a better basher than just about anything a person would list for you :)

Or you could just get the RC10 GT and put some bigger tires on it... it will still give you good speed and handling, and when you want to make it a regular Stadium Truck, just put the original tires back on. The larger tires will help it when you are just bashing 'cause it will increase the ride height to help it get over roots and other bashing obstacles.

I would go with the GT. you can go to www.teamassociated.com (http://www.teamassociated.com) for all the stats on the GT. It is a great racer and a great backyard basher. Associated is one of the best R/C company's out there. They make good, reliable, and strong cars and trucks, electric and nitro. go with the GT. you'll be pleased.

P.S. **** ... i sound like an associated dealer or something saying that! lol.

Hey guys, i think he wants a basher thats easy on the wallet!

I do agree that the GT is an awesome truck but the way i look at why spend all that money when your bashing it around the yard when there are more trucks that can take it, at a lower Cost! In this hobby its all about how much things are. (i say all this and i am not thinking of the GT RTR which is almost impossiable to FIND!)

Try and pick the one i bash for the heck of it.
Losi XXXT, HPI RS4 Pro 3, HPI Nitro Rush.\

Its the Rush i use to bash. The reason is it was dirt cheap and in RTR form (also theres no where to race Nitro's at).

Sorry about the book iv wrote, but id say If you can find the GT RTR get it, if you can't your next step would be the Nitro Rush. The Rush is an awesome truck and hasn't broke on me yet!

Good Luck

Cris

The normal GT RTR is the same price as the Rush... cleaner chassis layout to boot, easier to get weeds out of! Check your LHS for parts too, I know mine stocks lots of AE parts but barely any HPI.

They are still fixing some of the bugs out of the Rush. Until a stronger chassis is released I'd stay away from it eventhough they replace the chassises for free.
