Hello All,

I recently bought a Novak Milleium and after setting it up with some Deans plugs (males) I plugged in my battery (females). From the Start screen I pressed enter and the screen showed some data and then it went to a screen that said "battery not connected." In the manual it said that it might be that the plugs might not be connected properly, however when I unplugged the charger from it's DC source (a car battery) and simply plugged in my battery pack the charger turned on implying that
the charger was receiving some power from the battery, so that should mean that the connections are all set up right, shouldn't it? I've not had much experience with RC's so I'm banging my head against the wall on this one. PLEASE HELP!

Thanks
Mervin Jensen

Could be the car battery is flat?? I had this problem when using a transformer that wasnt up to the job. Other than that check the plugs again, including the one on the battery.

You might want to ask Charlie on Novaks site but it sounds to me like you somehow shorted the charger out. It happened to me 2x somehow, i'm not really sure how. If you did, you will have to send it in for replacement. If you do have to send it back ask for a replacement Millenium with fuses!!

Also just make sure the thick black wires are going to the power source... i know they probably are but it's something to check.

One day I was unplugging my battery from my Millennium after completing a full charge. The batteries have Deans female connectors and I had just stuck the alligator clip inside the plug(half of the clip, the other half was squeezed to the outside so it would stay), and the covering slipped off the clips and the clips touched while pligged in...then a big spark came from em and i quickly unplugged em as fast as I could. My Millennium still works, unless somehow that messed up its capabilities to charge SMH's...Just thought I'd share that litle story. :D

Oh by the way, now I have a converter so i clip the alligator clip onto a wire connected to the male Deans plug to plug into the battery. I did that in case I need to charge hardwire batteries. So far it hasn't let me down, though if it wasn't getting a full charge I wouldn't know because I race stock  .
