I use a pmr 8 cell discharge smart tray, but can I just put a 6 cell battery in it and discharge all 6 cells? If so do I have to have it in any particular spot? or will it do all 6 cells as long as I have the + and - lined up?

I was made so you could do 2 4cell packs, it will work with a 6cell pack if aligned correctly.

thanks, it looks like it'll go in one of three ways, will anyway work as long as the + and - is lined up?

Can't rightly say - their trays got so confusing I never used them. But had to do with the correct or incorrect cell contact. The older Smart tray used a red led to indicate proper or improper cell orientation the others Trinity Real time2 and Integy Octane were easier to use one single bulb which didn't work if cell didn't have correct contact, it was blown out or cell was already below a .25 voltage level. Pro Match was suppose to make a tray for AA batteries don't know if it's available yet, Integy makes one for Micro packs and were working on one for AA cells.
