SPECIAL CARPET??????

Hey guys i have a REALLY big garage ( we are talking like mechanics size , lets put it this way we have a rv, table saw ,workbench, drumset,3 hit and miss engines,and a scrap wood area and i STILL have enough room to fit 3 mid size cars! not to mention its has 2 yep you heard it 2 stories the second storie has a trainset that would blow your mind!dont worry the trainset is my dads )and i want to make a rc car track in it , i want it to be carpet because the serface is that dusty smooth cement that u can never get n e grip on. I was wondering will any short carpet do?? like the kind u find in classrooms? thanks

What you need is ozite carpet!!Using anything else would cause problems with static and carpet hairs getting wound up in pieces of your car!!Ozite is expensive but well worth the cost in the longrun!! ;)

U could try Astro Turf, u know the stuff they use on football fields!At the fabric store in our town they sell turf for really cheap! ;)

This probably is not the best idea for use in a garage, but my track puts sugar water on their outdoor track to give them extra traction.

The best way to apply it is to get a 2 liter pop bottle, and drill a few small holes in the lid, then sqeeze it on.

This may not go well with your parents, or there is a possibility pests may enjoy it as well...

I just suggested this, because it is cheap and easy.

Although when the roaches and bugs come in you could make a game out of it and run the little suckers over with your car :D

lol yea " he cuts in front of steve CRUNCH no wait steve regains the lead CRUNCH CRUNCH....lol well if i flip the carpet over i wont get the hairs in my car because that is the side that has the insultation....i also have a REALLY big oriental rug and the back of it is a nice smooth grippy surface.......as for my canned heat project its going good i could not get ne reception past 20' so i un-woud the antenna and put it through a tube and drilled a hole in the body now i can get reception past 40'. infact the track im making IS for the canned heat...lol well once i get a mini z i can race that on it too.
