shock diode nessisary

i have a shock diode on my p2k2pro with explorer 2 i run 6 cell only i can tell theres a small performance boost but is the diode doing more harm than good? since the diode is not nessisary

It is not doing bad, but it can do good in some cases, like it stops ome glitching, I usually do not hav ethem on my motors, but if I get some glitching I will put one on
