I took my Novak Tempest apart (finally) because i got it used and the solder job is a HACK! Its so craptastical . Anyway, Anyone know how to solder new Lead Wires on? The Big Blue, black and red wires. I want to replace those, but im not sure how. I dont have time now, but tommarow ill get some pics of it to help those without tempests out.

Black is your negative on the esc to the battery negative, Blue is to your motor from the esc, and red is from your esc to the battery to your motor...

Thats not helping. I mean HOW DO I UNDSOLDER IT. Without making a mess, and then re solder it. Because it has like a "top Deck" so its not going to be the easyest thing in the world. Pluss it looks like the factory solder was ground down so it will fit.

where the wires contact the circuit board, there are actual holes that the pre-tinned wire goes through. after it has been soldered to the contacts, the excess is clipped off (it looks like it's been ground down, but it's actually been cut with something similar to side cutters). it's very difficult to unsolder and resolder these wires because the contacts are only bonded to the circuit board and if you heat them enough, they'll peel off and the esc will be toast. if anything, i'd take it to an elitrical shop where they do stuff like this often and have them do it for you. it shouldn't be to expensive and they would probably let you watch so you can learn to do it yourself. good luck.
