Team Associated's popular Nitro TC3 Ready-to-Run, winner of Radio Control Car Action's 2003 "Reader's Choice" Award, has been updated with even more of the features you've been asking for.
It’s upgraded with a more powerful .15 size engine, a new design "Sure Shift" 2-speed transmission for better acceleration and higher top speed, and a redesigned rear suspension for more strength and tuneability.
Associated felt the Nitro TC3 Plus should look as good as it runs, so it includes chrome 8-spoke wheels, and topped it off with a Pro-Line "Crowd Pleazer" body with new, modern sport-compact style graphics.
To make the Nitro TC3 Plus an even better value, a free quick-fill Nitro fuel filler bottle and a rechargeable glow igniter are included right in the box! Of course, the NTC3 Plus is fully upgradeable with the extensive line of Factory Team performance components.

Part number and retail pricing:
#2042, NTC3 RTR Plus, $559.99

Availability:
May 2004.

2-speed. woohoo. shoulda been included in the first one. that body is nice. except for the carbon fiber hood that is crossing the rice border, but it looks as if that is just a decal (thank god). now that ae has already came out with a rtr plus... where is losi to be found in the nitro touring world. what is gil jr cooking up for us? losi always waits to release there product after everyone else has theres out. question is how long?

They always list a very high price, before the stuff actually become available for sale. My guess is that the finall price will be close +20 - 30 bucks to the current RTR price. Unless, I find it hard to believe who's going to buy it.
Well not me, at least.

I have no variable named as RTR in my R/C equation! :D
Never, never say again!!!

"To make the Nitro TC3 Plus an even better value, a free quick-fill Nitro fuel filler bottle and a rechargeable glow igniter are included right in the box"

That suspisoisly sounds like the same stuff that came with my ld3. Looks nice though. I think AE took the tip that if they wanted to stay in the bussness with a rtr car the had to inclued a 2 speed.

Danget!! I got a rtr ntc3 about 3 1/2 months ago and now ae releases a nicer one with a lot more stuff on it!! Luckily my dad ordered a 2-speed also off tower so its not too big of a deal..But of course they stick a .15 in it  :D Just my luck!

Oh well I think that body has a nice paint scheme! Kinda ricey but the black, silver, and red is giving me some future paint job ideas..

I'm not familiar enough with the NTC3 to know if its upgradeable to rear exhaust motor & slide carb.
*Anyone know?* Just buy team linkage and pipe? OR?
It looks like the new PLUS is side exhaust & rotary carb. Bummer.
Steve?

Mac The Knife

I would imagine its just linkage and exhaust,,, but if you change to a non pullstart, you may need new engine mounts, and flywheel.

maxxamillion
04-25-2004, 02:53 PM
Right, forgot about that part. Yes it would be bump start...
Thanks
