Great job guys. Track looks great. Now all I need is a .12 to drop out of the sky and into my lap.

Anyone interested in a new (unused) AMB Digital Transponder? The cable has been cut (the original Futaba Connector is still with it) so an adapter could be attached for use on a Mini T.
Asking $40.
If so respond on this forum.

Great pix of the track!! Had a blast on Sat. Wow!!!!! 10 electric touring cars at one time...that was a first for me. Kinda reminded me of a smaller scale NASCAR race at Infineon. Too bad we don't have 43 frequencies (just kiddin')! Mark, Billy, John, Will etc. you all did a great job updating the layout.

How are you liking that motor Jack got for you? I am going to get a new motor for the touring car and wanted to know what you thought about it.

Hey Space-C-Boy...how are ya? To tell the truth, I haven't tried the new motor yet. The Epic Binary Pro is running way to good to swap it out just yet. Justin had the B-2 in his car on Sat. and was running with the Monster HP Stockers. I guess he got one of the good ones...Binary 2's can be real finicky. I'll let you know more after I do a little practice up at Durham. I will tell you though...the top RPM is about 2,500 less than a Monster...the torque is higher though and that's what I was looking for trying to get faster out of the turns...

with the new layout that motor may be better

Byron - It's hard to beat a Monster stock. I think that's what almost everybody was running this past Saturday. If you want to borrow one to try next time we race just let me know.

Actually Binary motors are suppose to have more rpm than a Monster and less torque. That's the way they were designed. Epic Roar Stocks are inbetween a Monster and a Binary. That's what I use. However, not all Binaries are created equal. As is not all Monsters or any other Stock motor the same on the dyno. So maybe your Binary was a dud in the rpm department. But picked up torque instead. Of course maybe the Monster you had was an "rpm" monster that duded out in the torque department.. hehe.. Also... depends on what brushes and springs are on both motors. Yada yada yada... so many varibles.. hehe.. :D
Oh, and one other thing. You can not gear a Binary and Monster the same. The Binary should have 1 or 2 teeth less than a Monster on the pinion gear.....

Jimmy...soooo right on the pinion gears...if the Monster is running a 24, the Binary has to have a 23, etc, so one tooth seems to be the rule at Durham. And yes, the first arm the Binary had was finicky. Luckily, the second one seems to be a whole lot different...gotta take real good care of this one.
Byron...take Billy up on his offer and try out a Monster! It does seem to be the stock mot of choice, and there's NO doubt they are fast and reliable. Hoping to test the Integy Matrix V10-TT next week.

Hey,
I have a question since noone is answering on the tc3 thread. Is it worth it to get threaded shocks?
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSG46&P=Z
Might get a set
Thanks,
Chris

like tom said. LOL
but to answer your question....sure! why not! the clips work fine for rubber tires since the tires don't get very much smaller with wear. ride height will stay almost the same from run to run. but in nitro (where you use foams) having threaded shock bodies will let you keep that tire wear/ ride height issue more consistant. gives finer adjustment.
