I have two minis and wanted to let you guys now the run times for alkaline vs 6-cell Dynamite 1100 nimh, and Orion 1100 6 cell
The duracell 4 AA had a run time of 41 minutes till to slow to do much else
The energizer 4-AA had a run time of 39 minutes till dead.
The Dynamite 6 cell ran very strong and noticeably faster
during its 14 minutes of hard running.
The orion 6 cell ran just as strong as the dynamite but lasted for just over 15 minutes.
I wanted to let you guys know the runtime difference so you can make a decision on how to get your mini-ts rolling.
When I get the mod motor I will give another thread.

Thanks for clearing that up about run times,

today i saw a losi mini T with lithium batteries and that thing ran for a good 25 mins i'd say... the mini Ts are so cool, i think i might have to get one to mess around with - just wish they accomidated normal size motors :)

I went to the track today and a couple kids had Mini-T's. I was far from impressed by their speed. These things MIGHT have broken 10mph. They were racing 2 brand new one on concrete, so it wasn't a traction issue. They LOOK incredible, great detail on such a small critter.. But I could think of better ways to spend the driving time, like maybe watching paint dry or grass grow..
Save yer bux =(

Sorry, I just had to pick this apart a bit.
Both the Orion Pack and the Dynamite pack use Standard 2/3a 1100s. So no difference there.
The akalines will peak out a about 12 MPH about 15 minutes in. Then they slowly degrade, due to the nasty voltage drop on them. But that is also why they last so long. If you want massive amounts of runtime+decent speed, make a NiMH 2000 or 1800 mah AA pack. In my micro, using NiCD 700 AA's, they still lasted a pretty long time. I dunno if you can fit AAs in a MiniT however.
