I had a rustler with the stock stinger and am going to up it to a Arcornite Speed Gems Pro. I need to know if and what I need to make it run. I'm not a super n00b, Just a motor n00b.

make sure you get the right size pinion gear (the instruction manual will help with that) and when you install it make sure the gear mesh is right. dont put the pinion gear too close or too far from the spur. too close and it will make a high screeching noise, and too far and you'll mess up the spur gear. make it kinda loose but still gripping the teeth well. thats pretty much it, just solder it in there the way the old motor was.

If this is the one that you're talking about, it already has the caps installed, though you might not be able to see them:

Read the description, it says right there, "Three capacitors pre-installed".
Hope this helps.

For the 19 turn motors and non racing setup try using red springs and the stock gearing maybe 1 or 2 teeth lower on the pinion. The motors are faster than the kit supplied Stinger and some 27turn stock motors but their power range is very close to that of a stock motor. Motors are similar to the D4 with capacators installed under the brush hood hardware. For brushes it uses standup regular size brushes, stay away from the high silver 4383 brushes unless it for competitve use.
