Hello all,
I am 110% sure that I am getting a B4 Buggy for Christmas :D :D :D , it will be the RTR, but it doesn't come with batteries....
So, what do you recommend to go in it.
BTW The RTR has a 17-turn motor & LRP ESC, if that helps
I have 2 Shark 1500 packs and a Venom Racing 3000 pack from another car. The Sharks and the Venom are about the same, except that the Venom gives me a run time of about 20-25 minutes
I was looking into one of those 6-cell packs that you have to build yourself, I'm sure you know what I'm talkin about, Epic sells 3300 ones, the kind that aren't in a wrapping or that plastic casing...
Or would these even fit in the buggy?
Or should I just keep what I have and use that? If I do I will definitely get more Venom 3000 packs.....
Sorry for all the questions, but I am fairly new to electric r/c's.....

I would go with the black sanyo 3300 packs. They will give you long run times and will give it a ton of speed.

Unless your good at soldering and have a good iron, I wouldn't even attempt it... You can get good matched or unmatched Sanyo or GP 3300 packs for decent prices...

i would go with the gp3300,they have more "punch" than the sanyo's.

Stay with those sport packs until you get to be a decent driver. Expensive packs won't help much if you can't drive very well. This is a big mistake any newbies make when they first get into this hobby (myself included)

Bcat125-I dont know your experience with this cell but they are JUNK.Sad thing is they are on average about $2.00 more per cell than the GP's which are faster, easier to care for and ALOT more durable.
If your going loose cells make the investment of going MATCHED.Otherwise just stick with stick packs or maybe even matched stick packs if you really think there will be much performance difference.
Now if your just REALLY wanting loose cells you may check around. Some companies will charger $5.00 for the assembly of the pack.
Goodluck with your choices but if it's 3000's or 3300's then GP is the ONLY way to go.Now alot of people have GP3300's just with their name on it.Like the Epic's.

There are some Epic 3000's stick pack for somethin like $20. This is amazing! I got a 9.4 voltage read on my charger. GREAT pack.:D

9.4 volts would melt your pack if it is a 6 cell, or your charger is way false reading, and that voltage read might be from the surface charge if anything....you might be overcharging.
Also goto tower hobbies, get some gp3300 matches stick packs w/tamiya connector, they have good numbers, consider the fact that they are $41.95 per pack, makes these a STEAL some of them have numbers of 1.15 or better. Hell I bought two packs and mine came with cells ranging from 1.159-1.161 and the other was 1.161-1.163 Most sites would make you pay $60 or $70 for those numbers, get the GP3300s..
Im waiting...GO NOW
NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
did you go yet? :D

Today at my LHS my dad picked himpself up two matched packs of SMC 1.17s for himself for $50 each.
Just look through the matched packs at your LHS & see if you get some good #'s at low prices.....Then again you gotta be kinda frugal (my dad) to do that

I would pick the new Fusion 3300 batteries. The ones with the heat sinks on the batteries. Or my friens owns a battery company. Go to kmrbatteries.com.
