this is easy, the associated fans will all say the b4, and the losi fans will all say the xxx.

as long as you get a quality car, it doesn't matter. get what you like. at the level most of us are at, driver ability is what matters most, not how many "team" parts you have or what color all your aluminum parts are anodized. don't fall into the trap that reading the magazines will lead you to... you don't have to spend a fortune on your r/c cars and parts to have fun. and that means racing too, cause it should be fun.

I just had to make this exact decision. I went for the more expensive Losi BK2 as it has much better quality option parts as standard. Well worth the extra cost. Will be installing my Novak brushless in it this weekend.

Buggy wise I use mostly Associated but have owned and raced a Losi JRX2 & xx, and Traxxas TCP. While all were good vehicles the deciding factor has been intitial cost of kit vs another, what parts are readily available and sometimes ease of building or how easy it is to read and assemble kits.

The deciding factors are always personal interwention and choice.

The Bk2 went together very easily indeed. The only things that I didn't like was screen printed graphics on most major parts saying "GRAPHITE". Like, in case you didn't notice, they put it on about 20 parts! I removed this perfectly easily with a bit of wet and dry rubbing. Also, you will have to remove a few 'flashes' of excess material on the specially moulded graphite parts.

Now my Losi is almost done, I'm very glad I bought this model.

The B4 went to together easy I had mine done in one night excluding electronics. The Instructions were some of the best If Ever seen and the finished product is extremely nice.

I'm with the decision I made you just gott find whats right for you truthfully. I was in the same boat as you which one do I buy. I went back and Forth and stayed loyal to to the brand If bought before.

Thanks for the very informative post!!! It will help all of us learning something for sure!! Just kidding...Post *****. Yes Im talking to you.

That issue of RCCA came out I think 4 or 5 issues ago...Ask steve pond he should know. Today my friend got the B4 rtr and looks really nice, today we are going to drive it even though he is "supposed" to wait until Christmas :D. Hopefully his mom wont wrap it up though...

I would get whatever buggy your lhs carries the most parts for. Waiting for things to get shipped in will really suck and bug the crap out of you. Both buggies have been proven to be fast, and they have won their fare share of races so just choose whatever has the most parts in stock. And if its the same then um, go with which you think looks better :D.

RC car action just did a Head to head test with those two. The B4 came in with better lap times, but it all depends on what you ant. Take a look at it.
