Hello,
I am about to install Dean plugs due to a brushless set up, however when i got home and looked at them i am puzzled at what side goes to what?
Is their a standard to which side goes to the positive end and which side goes to the negative?
Thanks,
Stephen

On the sides where you solder there'll be either a + or - so you'll know which wire goes where.

my dean plugs don't have any symbols on them...?
if you are holding the end of the deans sideaways - is it the horizontal one or vertical one that is positive?

Ive never seen the (-) (+) sign ether... I just solder the positive to the up right post. It really does not matter how you put them together as long as you know your system and dont use anyone elses equipment!
Good luck though...

They are very small bumps-look at your plug under alot of light and you will see a - and +.

I agree, they are hard to see. I installed some yesterday and until the 3rd one I didn't see a mark. I wonder if some are missing the marks in the mold?
I knew which was correct though, as my speed control already had them installed, so I just matched up the +/- to that.
But, here is how it goes. Place the connector on its side, the longest side.. The horizontal bar is negative, the vertical bar is positive.
Like so...

I hope that diagram helps, I'll see if I can find an actual pic on the web for ya..
And of course, this stupid BBS software screws up my crude ascii... I'll hunt that pic for ya.

Here ya go... I found one and added the symbols for ya.
Remember though, it doesn't really matter which way you put em as long as you always mate positive to positive and negative to negative. As long as you always install your own plugs, and do it the same way, you'll be fine. If you get a new pack or something that uses em, just check to see if red hits red before you plug it in and you'll do fine.
