195-198mm, it was made for the TG-10? So it's more suited for a 200mm I think?
Cool project

That's an awesome body. Just use wheels with a high offset.

thats an HPI Racing Subaru not a Tamiya and HPI only has that body in 200 mm and the super nitro size (aprox* 300mm), so if you have an HPI nitro car then it will fit for sure

Actually that is a Tamiya body. I have one but haven't found the time and energy to paint it.
Baller is correct, the body is closer to 200mm. It looks like it can easily fit my NTC3.

NO!! lol:p
You know what's a shame though, Tamiya has WING BUMPS and HPI's does not. But the cool vented hood and flares is a decent compromise :)

Thats has to be the most un-detailed Tamiya body I have ever seen. :(

its cause the paint is white, the detail is hard to see. if it were painted black then im sure you'll see more detail. its a tamiya body man, they never dissapoint.

Dude most of the time yes Tamiya has great detail...but this one failed.
Why didn't they include mirrors? Why did they hump the wing?
Why didn't they make it like this kit? The price is the same according to tower ---> link to tower hobbies (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZR73&P=7)
Looks better the HPI huh? Does it include light buckets? NO

And why does the HPI cost less and include more?

HPI have thinner bodies with less detail. :(
If you didn't know, that Tamiya Scooby is a RACING body, desgined for the track just like the Protoline range. Racers don't want a heavy white plastic wing and mirrors on their bodies, thats why Protoform don't include them.
The detail is good, but its thinner lexan than other Tamiya bodies. Still a 3pc mold though.
I have a TG10 and that body. The TG10 is 190mm and the Subaru doesn't sit too far over the edges in terms of width. Maybe 192mm.

hes true
the hpi body arnt bery think.
i had a s15 and it was so flexible in the front and when i would drive it the drove would bend and srape the road.
tamiya body's are stronger and thicker.
ya hpi body have great detail but tamiya body are a little more for the buck.
