I'm trying to figure out which buggy to buy. I'm down to these two choices.

My buddy is planning on opening an indoor offroad track but with carpet. And I've always wanted a buggy so here's my chance.

also where can I buy the kit for the best price?

An offroad track with carpet?? Usually, they use dirt or clay but whatever.

Anyway, the B4 is newer which means its more advanced. So the B4 would be better.

I have been leaning towards the b4 since it's new and since I have owned Associated products before - but i am willing to hear from losi fans as well.

Yes carpet is kinda odd but not unheard of.

Just because the b4 is newer, doesn't make it better. The b4 brought associated up to date with what losi has(the xxxke). Both cars are great and can win any race. Check out the local seen and ask to test drive a xxx and b4 and see which you like better, also check your lhs for parts support.

An indoor track in Hawaii? Does he own land or something? Other then that the cost of rent is too high to have an indoor track and even have it break even every month. We had one indoor track a few years back...it lasted less then 6 months if I remember correctly.

I just picked up a B4 and it's an awesome kit. Everything goes together so smooth and the suspension is ultra plush. I noticed when I went to the Barber's point track for the championship that there was only a few XXX's left. Most everyone had converted to the B4.

I'm not in hawaii (In Kentucky)- I had a brushless Novak SS in a Super Hawaii RC Boat. Then Build a zenoah 260 powered gas boat.

I've been into rc for a while.

Had a rc10t first
then a HPI RS4 (hopped up)
then a HPI RS4 mini (not the tiny one)
then a Hopped up tmaxx
then the brushless Hawaii
then the 55" Zenoah powered manta ray

I was looking at that on the losi site. I think losi has nice products and i really like the concept of the b4.

I've done some checking and I think b4 parts are going to be easier for me to get although no-one local stocks them.

I have a BK2 and it is more accurate at braking, better in bumps, more steering and traction, biggest thing is it's a lot easier to drive and more consistent than the XXX. I felt like the B4 was equal to the XXX but the B4 has had and still has some problems with some of the parts from what I have heard, so far I haven't broken anything on my BK2 other than 2 ballcups. So I'd check out the BK2 and see if you can get parts for it locally b/c if you had to mail order AE or Losi parts everytime you needed something that would put a serious hurting on your wheel time.

man this is a tough desicion - I'm leaning towards the B4 but keep researching the bk2.

I'm gonna order one of these this week. LOL

At that level of competition they are both true championship buggies. What will make the difference is driver and who nails the right setup for the track first.

Both are fine cars and you will, no doubt, be happy with either one. Buy whichever one is best supported by your lhs. Lack of local parts support gets old REALLY fast.

It's simple. They are BOTH wonderful cars but have their OWN characteristics.
I personally like losi hands down due to being more stable and more consistant in the average joe's hands. We had a TON of guys switch to the B4 but have come back to losi.So it depends on the driver, track conditions and more.
I will say that I have driven BOTH chassis's for sometime and like the b4 in stock on a SMOOTH track. But when the track gets rough or a mod goes in it's XXX hands down.
I will be testing the XXXBK2 this weekend.Just because this car is updated doesnt always make it better. They test on a certain type track and it may be better for THAT but not yours. So just because something is NEW doesnt always mean it's better.
Both Durable cars.B4 has problems with shock towers and front spindles.
Losi I have seen front arms break a lil easier but still both VERY strong cars.Depends on whatcha hit.lol.
I would see which one is easier for you to Support and Support it.
Goodluck with your decision. You can ask 100 and get 100 different. But these guys with NO knowledge I wish just wouldnt post.Hey it's the NEW one so it's gotta be better.DUH.lol.Here's my ESPN radio JUST SHUT UP.lol.
