http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3156415596&category=34063 Has anyone ever bought these before? They say they are rated at 1.7 matched?! That seems extremly good for 30 bucks! Anyone know if these claims are true?

It says 1.17 not 1.70... lol... but for 30$ i doubt they are 1.17.

As previously stated (as in this was discussed in another thread somewhere) I picked some of these up, and put them in my matcher. To have just bought six cells, the voltages were pretty good. These may be the top 20% of GP's product (or maybe not) but they are certainly not matched. You can barely buy GP3300's in bulk from a distributor for $5 a cell, so it's probly a good deal, but they aren't matched.

Yes... they are probably not matched... as previously stated.

But in my mind... for 10.00$ you could get some awesome promatch batteries. In my mind they are the best out there for the money.

As is suspected, Gold Peak DOES NOT match any of their cells, they just manfacture them & ship them, they leave ALL matching to the end users(& keep in mind that no matter what the biggest matchers say, Gold Peak does NOT make ANY cell specifically for R/C, they only sometimes make a different shrink wrap for one customer or another). So if you see ads for cells by someone you don't know & trust, then take their ads with a grain of salt until some people have actually tried them.....

On the note of all this discussion, since I basicly match cells for myself, and sell the extras I have to buy to get a really good price, the batteries I sell on ebay are NOT usually of outstanding quality, but they have never gone for more than $35 per 6 loose cells. It's a heck of a price for matched GP3300's, my username on ebay is the same as here, so if you see me selling any packs, it might be a good way to pick up some reasonable power.

I have purchased a few battery packs from Cheapbatterypacks.com both on EBay and directly from their website. I can't vouch for wether they are matched or not (they claim that they are) but I can say that they are very good cells and they sell for a great price. I have never had any particular cell get warmer than another during chaging to lead me to belive they aren't matched. They seem to discharge at about the same rate on a tray. If they aren't matched, then I can't tell at least with the cells I have purchased. I would guess that they aren't the best numbers you can get, But what do you want for $30 bucks?

I bought some of these cells...so far I've compared them to some older reedy zapper nicads...the zappers have more punch at the moment but the packs I got from cheapbatterypacks have only maybe 3 runs through them so far and seem to be getting stronger..I doubt they will get to the level of the zappers but I feel like I got a good buy on the packs nonetheless

Hello i was wondering if it was possiable to recieve a spec sheet on these
packs/cells? Also do you have any Guarantee that these cell are match at
1.17 or above? Is it also possiable to see the box or container that these
matched cells come in from the factory? Just never heard of Gp matching cells before...

Reply:
They come rubber banded in groups of 6 from the factory. You will know what
they are when you get them and test them yourself. We have two option to buy
from GP. The matched sets of 6 cells and the unmatched. GP tells us that
they only use 1.17 and above for the matched sets. That is what we get. We
don't have all they equipment to test them ourselves, but our customers with
the equipment have tested them and verified that they are 1.17s.

END
OK now is it just me or does that sounds like he doesnt even know what the specs of these cells are? Has anyone actualy bought these and tested them to see if the specs are correct? I am still considering buying some just because for the price of 3 promatch 1.16's i could get 4 of these 1.17... He really seems to be selling these things by the way... he has sold nearly 60 in 2 days!

Hello? Did you read my precvious posts? I've tested them. They DO have better voltages than just 6 cells selected out of a batch of 100+ cells that I buy at once when I match packs for myself, but they ARE NOT MATCHED in the sense that they are very close in runout times, IR's, etc.
