ill tell you one thing
if it dosnt have wheels or a motor its not a sport!
well to me anyways
malibu4bbl
11-13-2003, 06:07 PM
dude alot of people beilive the opposite.
i think almost anyhtign can be considered a sport. jsut look at fishing!!!!! that has to be one of the biggest things about it. some people say it is or isnt. liek bowling, and hunting and etc......
where in NY are you?
extremetmaxxer
11-13-2003, 06:33 PM
fishing hasnt beena sport to me since i got a hook in the side of my cheek and then i think there was another insident witha hook that i forget......
that comment is really just my own opinion, i know that alot of motorsports arnt considerd sports becuase people dont really use there bodys.
i live in my own world, and in this world anything with wheels and or an engine is a sport! lol, that includes down hill mountain bikes, bmx, dirtbikes, extreme unicycling, and other various wheel involved activitys. lol i know im nuts but i think thats what makes me bodys so good, soo enough about sports what do you think about my flames???!!!!??:D  :D ;)

WOW I inspired someone!!! I've seen your work King and it's amazing. I can't wait to see what you can come up with on this.
Remember its painted "backwards" :D
Window mask on outside.
Green half way up the body.
Cover the green with white.
Mask.
Flat black.
extremetmaxxer: Thanks for the nice comments.

truck looks sweet, it looks like one of those cars that still has its primer on it, so its a dull color, but yours is alllllllll sm000th! i like it alot, would make a good show truck body
calvin3

The truck is painted flat black which is basicly a primer. Here is another picture from behind.

Thats a Parma paint mask. Here is the link (http://www.parmapse.com/rcitem.asp?n=10786) . You can order them from Tower or most LHS.
I do have a couple of masks on my site.

do most people that paint these awesome exotic scheme's paint them on the outside of the body then just cover it up with some clear coat to make it look like it was paintedon the inside. That seems like it woud be a ton easier!!
illbreakit
11-23-2003, 01:32 AM
No man, Paint it on the inside. It will never last on the outside. Yes, it would be easier to do it on the outside, but that would take all th fun out of it
budlightnmyhand
11-23-2003, 01:55 AM
most of these bodies are never used so i figured if they were sitting around and not raced or bashed then why not make it easier and paint the outside. Did everyone in the last comp paint the inside, i'm new to this sorry for asking so many questions

I paint all my bodies on the inside and use them for both display and racing.:)

It would be alot easier. But my compatition paint jobs are done from the inside. I just thought Calvins truck look so cool I would give it a try. The body I did was one I just had laying around. And believe me one crash or side swipe on the wall the paint will be coming off.

Paint a body and then not use it????? Oh that's Blasphmey in my books :D. O run, and wreck every body I paint, no matter if it took me 2 hrs or 2 month's to paint, it's gona be run. It's just the nature of the beast. I hate show queen's with a passion in RC's and with real car's. They have to be used as the manufacure intended to get my respect.

a quick question . . . how much does a decent airbrush cost? I would like to do custom paint jobs, i have the naturall talent of making flames, and really accurate geometic shapes. Oh and how do you guys keep your car bodys in such good condition...but i have a t-maxx and I do some serious off-roading

I think 90% of the pics on here were taken before running the body. ;) A decent airbrush will cost ya about $50-75 and then either $12 a can for air or so (good for about 1 body), or you can invest in an air compressor for about another $100-200 or so.
