When your putting a logo/number etc. on the roof of a car, which direction should it read? I was thinking of placing it so that it's readable when your are facing the drivers side. It seems like I've seen them rotated so they are readable from the back or front. I believe NASCAR always races counter-clockwise so logos are placed so they are readable from the passenger side so all the spectators can read it. What's your opinion?

If you drive fast no matter, the number will not be readable:D , if not I'll do like nascar cars.

I work for ATI and I'm doing a Radeon based car. The logo for the roof is

I'm just wondering which way it should face?

The numbers on the roof of NASCAR cars are readable from the drivers side, I think that's so when the cars are on the backstretch and the farthest away, the number is right side up and easier to read from a distance. I've never seen a race car with the logo on the roof, usually just the hood and then they face forward. If I were puting the logo on the roof I would make it readable from the drivers side.

In road course racing you normally have the logo be readable from the front of the car. So for the ATI logo you would want one facing the nose of the car or you could put two smaller ones facing the windows.
