How do you suppose the body is attached to this car when it burns down the quarter-quarter mile? I was thinking velcro+shoegoo+styrene but it could just fly off but worth a try, ..  This is so cool, I wanna do this now since I have an FF01 lol
just wanted to share...probably a repost though :o

Nice looking car. That thing looks like it would fly... Is that wheelie bar functional? Since it's a front wheel drive i'd assume it didn't need one. Oh well, probabaly a stupid question. Do you have any specs on it?

Hehe... nice civic... but i dont think the wheelie would be necessary... but if youre keeping the drag look, i understand;) so what motor do you have? i slapped a 10 double in mine before... it was freakin fast:D

i cant tell from the pic but front wheel drive cars do have wheelie bars but they touch or come really close to touching the ground standing still....there used to keep the weight from shifting to the back away from the wheels.....feel free to correct me but i think thats rite

Damn that is sweet! I wanted to do fwd dragger ever since that car action touring issue with the pro 2 converted.
Wanted to use the old yokomo fwd tourer but can't find one, maybe try a tamiya.
Are there any chassis shots or other pics on this car?

Can't wait to see yours Baller!

Found it at the some honda forum

I don't think I'll do one of those in a LONG time... All the money involved to actually make it run and i'm simply too busy nowadays for most things.
I think i'll just make a shelf queen dragster though, so if I ever win the lotto I'll simply drop in a Novak BL+1000 tamiya hop ups :D

The wheelie bars look like he made them out of brass tubing?

Yes, the FWD draggers sometimes use wheelies bar to almost pre-load the front end down to the track. Any weight transfer to the rear takes traction away from the front wheels.

One guy I saw on TV a couple years ago had his wheelie bar on hydrolics, and it would actually unload the rear suspension a bit when he activated it.

Yeah that was Chris Rado's car. They outlawed it later on that season.

did they outlaw it?? i thought they told him that if he was to use the retractable bars, he had to race in a different class...

I think they outlawed it because the wheelie bar wheels were touching the ground which is not allowed I believe? That's why if you look at most drag cars fwd or rwd the wheelie bar wheels are off the ground.
