Try using 1.0mm or 1.3mm carbon fiber rod the full length of the control surface on the hinge edge. 1.0mm is stiffer than 0.025" music wire and weighs about half as much. Glue them on using UFO CA or epoxy, or even white glue. Dr. Mike Blott may have further (or better) suggestions. Shoot him an email.

does anyone have any better ways of hinging foam surfaces? I am "TRYING" to convert the cox viper and the elevators, and rudder twist when i move them. thanks
