I am thinking of building one of Doug Binder's Duskstiks, I've heard lots of good things. Has anybody built one of these things & which wing should I build, Straight or Polyhedral?

P.S. - Does that Reynold Crystal Wrap come in different Colors? What do you use the to attach it to the wood?

Mike,

I haven't built one, but I read the specs and the polyhedral wing is supposed to be more stable, while the dihedral wing is supposed to be slightly more aerobatic.

All I've heard are good reviews of the Duskstick, so I don't think you can go wrong. The designer thoroughly flight tests his planes before release to ensure great flying characteristics.

Reynolds crystal wrap comes in 4 or 5 colors and is very durable for the money (next to nothing). I've heard of everything under the sun being used to attach the stuff. I just use any of the glue sticks. You know, the stuff that looks a giant tube of chapstick. Just rub a little on where ever you want the wrap to stick. If you make a mistake, just peel it off and reapply. Pull it fairly tight because crystal wrap doesn't shrink much. I just used a hair dryer to shrink it once it's applied. It's a little heavier than mylar, but it's a MUCH cheaper too.

Happy Flying!
