hey Guys Just figured I would let you in on the chaepest fun I have had in a long time. Got the JKaeortech Foam p51 1/12th scale. The thing is a BLAST! setr it up with a stock 400 and mini Olympus. The plane is fast, flys invereted incredibly well and goes exactly where I want it to when and how I want it to. Cant say enough good things about this $35 plane! If anyone wants to know more I'll fill you in on how I set it up and where to get one.

Daunt6 go to http://www.jkaerotech.com and look under 12th sale P51 or the pocket p51 (different planes) They also sell the set up equipment gear boxes motors etc. Basic stuff comes with the kit like pushrods horns...

The kits are foam cut and you need to do a bit of shaping (30 minutes to one hour) and you can mold a scale look on the fuselage. They give you some colored tape to cover the thing and some coroplast board to brace the fuselage. I tossed the colored tape and the coroplast board. The coroplast is used for strength when sticking a gas motor in it. (Speed 400 dosen't need it and it saves a lot of weight) I also bought some 3m spray glue and covered the shapped fuselage and wings and then carefuly placed monokote on the frame then trimmed it with decals and pinstripe. Just glued the gear box in place where I hollowed out the nose. You have to do a lot of hollowing out to fit your gear. Thats the only part that you need an imagination for. I was able to do it bu cutting off the canopy and diggin into the foam then tunneling into the nose for my speed control wires. Sounds like a lot of work but you can do it in about and hour. I used stock balsa alerons and replaced the coroplast stab and rudder with stock 1/8th inch balsa and covered in in monokote. Use a 8 cell 600ae pack and get 6 minutes af fast fun accurate flight. This thing can cook for a geared speed 400. Its the most fun I have out of several planes that I own because its not only areobatic but stable. I crashed it 2 days ago (flying in the dark) not too brainy... snapped a wing and cracked the nose in 2 palces. 1 hour latter and a bit of epoxy and its good as new. covered the rpares with monokote and you would never know!

If you get one write me and if you have a couple building questions I may have come across the answer. The guys at JKaerotech are also friendly and informative. Oh ye dont forge to brace the wing with 1/4" square stock balsa. light and works great.
