I need help deciding which car to get out of the Tamiya TA04 or the F201. I want an overall good car that can go fast and has good handling. I have been researching both cars and they both look good for what u get. I don't really care too much about style hop-ups, but I want a lot of performance hop-ups. Can anyone tell me which would be the best for performance and speed?

thanx

I'm not really going to give you a fair answer, seeing as I love the F201. :)

It's a great car with many hop up options, and not just from Tamiya. The run the gammut from carbon chassis's to aluminum suspension arms and so on.

As for speed, the F201 kit motor is pretty slow. It's gearing is pretty much set for a higher motor anyway, so you can slap in alot of speed. There are also gearing adapters that you can buy to change the spur gear (Tamiya only has two sets of gearing as of now) from other companies, so several gearing choices are available.

It's a fun car, and the scale appearance, even with the body off, is amazing. It's a very nice car and very fun to drive.

Could you post some links for us?
Some of us are unfamiliar with all the companies that offer performance parts for the F-201??

You can find all the hopups made for the F201 as well as lots of information on the F201 at formula1-rc.com

Yep, formula1-rc.com has a great selection of hop up parts for the F201. I carry all the hop ups from Tamiya.

Thanx for the ideas, I'll probably get the F201, I kind of wanted it in the first place, but I wasnt sure about it's performance, and the TA04 sounded like it was pretty cool.
