Battery pack weights, (FYI)

I used my new scale to weigh the 600 mAh battery packs. The 7 cell NIMH pegs out at a hefty 108.1 g, and the 8 cell NIMH is a whopping 122.9 g. They are both 600 mAh while the 7 cell is of course 8.4 V and the 8 cell is 9.6 V.

I presume that these are the AAA NiMH cells?
For that kind of weight, the Panasonic Li-Ion cells might be a solution. There has been a lot of discussion about them on EZone lately.

The Panasonic Li-Ion cells are 83 gm for a pac of 2
