That's just a roll performed by manipulating your rudder and elevator to perform it :) Usually they tend to be a bit ragged, but it CAN be done. A roll is usually performed with ailerons, much neater and smoother.

Hi Jason,
You can perform a very credible roll with only rudder and elevator assuming certain conditions. The plane must have sufficient dihedral effect, The motor must be powerful enough to generate surplus airspeed, and the controls, (especially rudder) must be very effective. The concept is linked to the fact that the dihedral effect generates a rolling force when the rudder yaws the airplane. Generally, the elevator is used to keep the airplane on heading as it rotates through the roll. Very few park flyer type models have the necessary excess power to fly this manuever smoothly.
Hope this helps, Dave Robelen

a rudder roll can be performed with many slope gliders.you need to have quite a bit of rudder and speed but that depends on the plane and if you have power or not.

Clancy's Yard Bee can rudder roll if you put a speed 400 geared 2.33:1 in it. I've done it. Granted, that's on the limit of what I'd call a 'park flyer' but I do fly mine in the ballpark across the street, well did until I packed it in, building another one.
