hi im new to the board and wanted to ask about a problem i'm having. i raced rc about 2 years ago, i have a rc10t3 with novak racer ex speed controller, a polaris am reciever, a airtronics controller, and a hi torque steering box. i quit racing 2 years ago after my local rc shop had to shut down. i got bored the other day and decided to pull out all my old stuff. well i started out with my p2k motor and i was getting a real bad glitch. it seemed like when i put in my d3.5 12*2 motor it got worse. the motors are clean and all the connections are good. i am wondering if this is a esc problem or a controller/reciever problem. i remember this problem when i was racing but all my equipment was new at that time, so i got frusturated and just put everything on the shelf. do u guys think i would be better off upgrading to a FM radio or try replacing the esc? also who makes a good ESC?

It could be anything, but check this stuff

Brushes on motors - very common problem, if the brushes are worn, replace them.

The capacitors could be worn or old, try replacing those.

Make sure all the connections in your radio are good, as well as the batteries.

Some of the electronics could be bad, try taking them to a hobby shop to get them checked out or testing them with different equipment to sort out the bad from the good.
