Maxx--Now THAT is Tight! i really hope you used some kinda lathe or 3D router for that. If you just used a Dremmel, i'm retiring the brush!;)

I like the 'knots' in the flames- It looks like a maelstrom, or hurricane. Definitely a nice combination. The marbelized green/black is definitely different

:o Oh come now Charlie, no one is going to make you want to pack your brushes up. Your skill with the brush is an inspiration that begs the creative juices to flow in all that gaze in awe at your work. My creative juices just happen to flow in another direction seeing as how I have yet to master the brush.

Actually, no 3D router or lathe was used. Only a band saw, drill press and yes, a Dremel. And lets not forget lots of sand paper.;)

This project is still under construction and I have yet to decide on a body. One idea is pretty much what you came up with only doing the entire body, but for me to do would take extensive practice. Another idea was to panel a Parma '39 Ford Woody Lexan body in real wood and paint. A third idea is to make a truck body entirely out of Balsa wood.

What ever I decide on Charlie, you can bet that it was the great skill level of those on this message board like yourself that gave me the inspiration. I really like your work.

Pick up that brush and influence us!:)

MaxxThrasher- I hope that will be for show only, because with one strong tap and you might be holding a large pile of fire wood. :D

I must say I am VERY impressed!

say cahrlie, how did you do that wood stuff? I also wanted to know how you did the marble effect on the rear?
I did that kinda thing on my last body, but it didn't turn out the way i want it. So, using fasescent purple as a main color, what other color(s) would you use, and how would you di it..i wanna make sure i did it right..i like how it looks sorta lava-ish, ya know? Please help..

XXX-

as for wood, draw your pattern out on the outside of the body.

with VIOLET, do your dark/shadow patterns.
with RED ORANGE, do you more subtle lines/patterns
with YELLOW, back your graphic. VOILA..GOT WOOD NOW!

AS for the rear part...

SPray a heavy coat of fascecent Purple on the the body.
Lay a sheet of saran-wrap across the covered area.
Leave the wrinkles in the sara-wrap.(this is your pattern)
Leave saran-wrap for 3-5 minutes.
Back with Black.

there ya go!
