Can anyone recommend some capacitors for use with a KP-00, assuming they're even needed. I just received a Sky Hooks hybrid receiver which completes a flight set including 2 Wes-tec servos and a KP-00. Upon giving everything a work out, I've noticed the servos get a little twitchy when the motor is running. They don't go crazy and they probably wouldn't even effect the control of a plane, but I'm not sure I want the servos more or less running constantly (@ $65 each, wear and tear is a concern...)

Thanks in advance.

Check out the South Leicester Aeronutz:

They have some info on caps that power electric ff(KP-00's and N20's,ect.), and a cap IR Rx...check under 'Electric Power' in the left column...

Hi Chris, you can use the same size capacitors that you would use on a spedd 400 or 280. I am not sure opf the actual capacitance bit you should look into the varios assortments of capacitorsd at a place like radioshack. They have tantalim dipped caps (I think thats what they are called)They are usualy colorful like blue or purple or green, that are generaly smaller but have the same rateings as the popular cermaic disc shaped caps.

Those little motors actualy give off quite a lot of RF noise and the hybrid acts twitchy till you fix it with caps. (I got one too)

Should work out once you fix it. Also DO NOT over work those servoes. Those little guys get HOT!!!! and you risk burning out the motor of those servoes do not stop running. make sure that you have a good gear mesh too because that will keep the servoes jumping if it is not just right. they are small, they are light, they are great, but they are sensative.
