Just wanted to alert people that there is a plan for a post-WWI Fokker D.XIII in the July issue of Flying Models magazine (on newstands now). The plans are for an 18" wingspan (9" for the lower wing) rubber powered plane. It looks like an unusual model and should scale up easily to a small scale electric RC. I'll post a picture if I get a chance. Allan, this plane should be of interest to you.

Thanks! I'll go get the mag. It's a little past my favorite period but it's a good start! I'm mostly a WWI freak, but plans from magazines are the right price :-)

Scale up? What are you talking about, 18 inches is HUGE!! ;)

Although its a biplane, the bottom wing is a stubby 9 inches (hard to see in this picture), and has less of a chord. It might not be as huge as you think. Total wing area is 55 square inches (48.5 top & 6.7 bottom). Allan, WWI and Golden Age are my favorites, so this kind of fits.

Thanks for the notice. I am also a WWI aircraft fan. I am doing a Bristol F2B with a 30" span. I drew the plans in dxf format and it is going together as planned. I am covering it now. If you want to look at the plans, I will be happy to send.

For any one interested, the magazine costs $4.50, but the full sized plan can be ordered from them for $4.50 at 1-800-474-6995, plan #CD143.

GHMBO, I'd like a copy of your plans when they are ready. Also, please post pictures of your progress. I'd like to see more posting of the progress and steps for building a nice scale WW1 era plane. I'm sure others would like to see your progress too.
